A leading South African institution is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a forward-thinking team working on innovative solutions within a complex enterprise technology environment.

The role will involve developing and supporting secure, scalable Java applications that underpin critical business systems.

Requirements

Solid commercial experience developing applications using Java (3-5 years' experience)
Experience working within complex, regulated or highly governed technology environments
Strong understanding of application security and secure development practices
Practical exposure to identity and access management technologies, including OAuth2, JWT or SSO
Experience working with reliable, high-performance applications handling significant transaction volumes
Exposure to cloud technologies; AWS experience advantageous
Familiarity with containerisation and modern deployment practices, including Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD
Understanding of technology governance, risk, compliance and data protection principles
Exposure to modern front-end technologies such as Angular or React
Experience contributing to enterprise-level applications and technology platforms
