Job Details:
Purpose
The Fariborz Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented undergraduate student to assist IT staff with computer related tasks. A work study award is required. This position is open for Fall 2025 and expected to continue until the end of the Spring 2026 semester.
Responsibilities
- Lock/unlock computer labs on a regular schedule
- Assist students with basic computer questions/problems
- Check printers for proper operation
- Drop off and pick up computer equipment as needed
- Help IT staff with installation of Windows and applications
- Help with administrative tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows 11 operating system.
- Students with a work study award for Fall 2025 .
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the installation and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows operating systems, business applications and engineering specific applications
Salary Range
Undergraduate Student Technician: $14.00 per hour
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in standard office conditions
- Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
- Use of manual dexterity
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds may be required
Work Shift
- Up to 15 hours per week; work schedule within Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- The position is for the Fall 2026 semester but is expected to continue until the end of the Spring 2027 semester.
