Salary: £33,000 - 33,000 per year
Requirements:- Were looking for someone with proven experience in an IT support role, such as IT Support Engineer, IT Technician or similar.
- You should have strong knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems.
- You should have experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Group Policy.
- You should have a good understanding of networking and experience troubleshooting network issues.
- Knowledge of firewall technologies is expected.
- You should have experience installing servers and supporting server migrations.
- Familiarity with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V is desirable.
- SQL knowledge or experience is desirable.
- You should bring excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
- Were looking for someone proactive, self-motivated and practical, with strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with ERP or MES systems, IT support in a manufacturing environment, Cyber Essentials or ISO 27001 would be an advantage.
- IT qualifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft certifications are desirable.
- We welcome applicants with a strong IT support background, a willingness to learn and the right attitude, even if they dont meet every listed criterion.
- Carry out daily IT checks and maintenance, including backup verification, log reviews and server room checks.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, providing effective solutions to users.
- Manage IT incidents and change requests through the IT Service Desk.
- Install, configure and maintain IT equipment, ensuring software licensing compliance.
- Support new starters and leavers, including PC, telephone and workstation moves.
- Ensure PCs, laptops and servers are patched within required compliance timescales.
- Support IT projects and provide technical assistance to other departments.
- Liaise with external IT suppliers and raise support calls where required.
- Provide MES/ERP system support, including report writing.
- Install and terminate network cabling and carry out cable runs where required; well provide IPAF 3A/3B training.
- Support our IT policies, procedures and security requirements.
- Identify and report non-conformances and security incidents to the ISMS Manager.
- Support relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and information security standards.
- Assist with certifications and audits, including ISO 27001.
- Undertake occasional out-of-hours work when required to support project delivery.
