Office-based IT service desk technician at Amvia, a managed service provider in Sheffield supporting clients' IT and telecom services. Requirements:- Proven technical support experience in the IT, MSP, or telecommunications industry
- Strong root-cause analysis skills
- Good spoken English and people skills, with confidence speaking regularly on the phone
- Good reading and writing skills
- Experience using the full Microsoft Office Suite
- Good understanding and working knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, and network topologies
- Good knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
- At least 12 months experience working on a single IT service desk
- Good understanding of cybersecurity tools, including email filtering, content restrictions, multi-factor authentication, conditional access, and domain security (DKIM, DMARC, SPF)
- Good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Exchange
- Relevant experience, technical training, or certifications should be included in your application
- Provide technical support to clients using a range of technologies
- Diagnose technical issues and carry out root-cause analysis
- Communicate with customers and suppliers by phone
- Respond to support tickets raised through the ticketing portal or by email

Our services include connectivity, VoIP, business mobiles, and Microsoft 365, and we support clients of all sizes with a personal approach. This is an office-based role in Sheffield city centre, with a salary of £25,000–£30,000 per annum. Hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:30, with out-of-hours cover one week in four throughout the year. The role includes 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
