The Role
Are you passionate about solving complex problems? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? Then there's a good chance you will love being part of our team at Kyndryl, where you will see the immediate value of your work.
At Kyndryl we design, build and run the mission-critical technology that organisations depend on. In this role you'll join the Kyndryl team that delivers and operates the Data & Analytics Platform for one of the major banks, helping it unlock the power of data at its Enterprise Data Lake.
Do you combine software engineering experience with a passion for data, and see data as the foundation for delivering customer value? Does working in a complex environment of data platforms and services make you happy? Do you like working with the latest tools and technology? Then this is the role for you.
As an IT Platform Engineer you are responsible for developing and implementing crucial functionality for the Enterprise Data Lake. You will work closely with other development engineers, system administrators, and security professionals to ensure the platform meets the bank's needs while adhering to best practices in scalability, reliability, fault tolerance and security.
Key responsibilities

- Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and IT stakeholders to align technical strategy with business objectives.
- Build and maintain scalable data platforms in Azure with the engineering team.
- Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery.
- Ensure code quality through automated testing frameworks (e.g. Pytest, mocking).
- Support and mentor team members, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.

With dedication and hard work, you can climb to higher bands and achieve positions such as Principal Engineer or Vice President of Software — roles that offer the chance to inspire and innovate, and the accomplishment of reaching the pinnacle of your career.
Who You Are
You're good at what you do and have the experience to prove it. Equally important, you have a growth mindset — keen to drive your own personal and professional development.
