About the BusinessHWLE is one of Australia's fastest-growing law firms. It has grown by nearly 20% in just over a year, with revenue growing alongside side headcount with more than 2,000 people across nine offices. Growth on that scale needs technology that can keep pace, and the firm is investing to make sure it does. That makes this a rare moment to join. The platform is being built for the next stage of the firm, and the person in this role will help build it.
Who you will work for
Most people choose a role for the company. The best career moves are made for the leader. You will report directly to Sam Sofianos, CIO, a heavyweight of legal technology with more than 20 years in professional services. Sam has a strong track record of developing people, with a number of his former team members now in leadership roles and is known as a great leader to work for.
About the Role
This is a role with genuine scope. You will lead a national team and own the firm's IT operations, cloud services and core infrastructure, from Windows server, VMware and two onpremises data centres through to LAN/WAN, Fortinet, Azure migrations, backup and disaster recovery. With a direct line to the CIO, your work will be visible at the top of the technology function from day one, and your first 100 days are yours to shape: assess the environment, set the roadmap and deliver the improvements that define the next stage.
About You
You are an IT operations or infrastructure leader from a complex, multi-site environment, with strong Windows, networking and Azure expertise and a real passion for developing people. You might be ready for your first role reporting directly to a CIO, or simply looking for the right leader to learn from. Professional services or partnership experience is highly regarded.
Why This Role
- Report directly to a CIO with a genuine track record of growing future leaders
- Join a firm in growth that is investing in its technology function
- Real scope to shape a critical national IT function and make your mark from day one
- A people-focused culture that values collaboration, expertise and career development
