IT Operations Analyst

Wellington | Permanent, full-time | 40 hours per week
Hāpaitia Shared Services is seeking an experienced IT Operations Analyst to support reliable, secure and responsive ICT services across Hāpaitia and the eight Industry Skills Boards (ISBs).
About the role
In this role, you will coordinate day-to-day ICT operations, administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, access and device services, and help ensure onboarding, offboarding and escalated issues are completed accurately and on time.
You will work closely with users, business system owners and external providers to resolve incidents, monitor service trends, improve documentation and strengthen practical ICT support across multiple organisations.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinate ICT operations, service desk priorities and escalated incidents through to resolution
- Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, user groups, mailboxes, access and licences
- Support Intune-managed devices, compliance, patching and the device lifecycle
- Manage onboarding and offboarding for staff and contractors, including accounts, devices and permissions
- Work with system owners and providers to support business applications and vendor tickets
- Improve support processes, technical documentation, reporting and repeatable tasks
What we’re looking for
Essential
- Relevant IT qualification, industry certification or equivalent practical experience
- At least four years’ experience in ICT support, systems support or IT operations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID and user access management
- Strong troubleshooting skills across devices, cloud services, applications and connectivity
- Experience managing incidents and requests through an IT service management platform
- Clear communication, customer focus and the ability to prioritise and work with vendors
Desirable
- Experience with Intune, endpoint compliance, Exchange Online, SharePoint administration, automation, security controls, Dynamics 365, Power BI or other business applications
