On-site infrastructure engineer at a credit union who administers and improves on-premises and cloud infrastructure day to day — monitoring servers, networks, storage, and virtualization; performing patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis; and supporting security, backup, and disaster recovery. Hours are Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM with a rotating on-call schedule.
The schedule for this position is:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Occasional on-call rotation)
Salary is based on experience; All experience must be clearly demonstrated on the application and must be verifiable

Role
Administers and enhances on-premises and cloud infrastructure by resolving more complex technical issues, executing implementation efforts, and improving system performance, reliability, and security. Applies advanced technical knowledge to maintain day-to-day operations, contribute to infrastructure improvements, and support a secure and stable environment.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

- Monitors and administers infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, and cloud environments, to ensure performance, availability, and reliability
- Performs advanced maintenance, patching, upgrades, and system administration across infrastructure platforms
- Troubleshoots and resolves moderately complex to complex infrastructure issues, serving as an escalation point and conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
- Implements and maintains server, network, storage, virtualization, and cloud-based solutions in alignment with established standards
- Plays a key role in executing infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, enhancements, and migrations
- Develops and maintains infrastructure documentation, procedures, and configuration standards to support consistency and efficiency
- Supports security, compliance, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes to protect systems and data
- Identifies and implements improvements to enhance system performance and operational efficiency, including automation opportunities
- Collaborates with internal teams, vendors, and technical partners to complete infrastructure work and resolve issues while providing guidance to less experienced team members
- Participates in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours support for critical infrastructure, responding to alerts, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating resolution as needed
