Middleware & Data Integration Engineer - APIs, Azure & Databricks (Hybrid, CDMX)

Your Role

We are seeking a skilled Middleware & Data Integration Engineer with approximately 3 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise integrations across applications, APIs, and cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in Java development, API integrations, Azure Integration Services, and modern data engineering tools including Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake. This role will be responsible for building scalable integration solutions, enabling data movement across enterprise systems, developing reusable APIs, and supporting cloud-based analytics and data processing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise integration solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Build, expose, secure, and manage RESTful APIs using industry best practices.
• Develop integrations between internal applications, databases, cloud platforms, and third-party systems.
• Design and implement data integration pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data movement and transformation.
• Configure and support Azure Integration Services components including:
  o Azure Logic Apps
  o Azure API Management (APIM)
  o Azure Service Bus
  o Azure Functions
  o Azure Event Grid/Event Hub
• Work with Delta Lake tables and optimize data processing workloads.
• Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and related authentication standards.
• Collaborate with software engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and analytics teams to deliver end-to-end integration solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize middleware services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Support CI/CD implementation and automation using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, and operational runbooks.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Middleware Engineering, Integration Development, API Engineering, or related roles.
• Experience delivering cloud-based and hybrid integration solutions.
• Experience working with Azure cloud services and enterprise integration technologies.
