Integrated Marketing Manager
Reports To: VP, Content
Position Type: Full Time, Exempt
Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000 Annually
Position Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Content, the Integrated Marketing Manager leads the planning, coordination, and execution of integrated marketing initiatives that promote Cincinnati Public Radio’s journalism, programming, podcasts, live broadcasts, events, fundraising campaigns, digital platforms, and community engagement efforts.
This position serves as the organization’s central marketing resource, developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns that strengthen brand awareness, increase audience engagement, and ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
Working collaboratively across departments, the Integrated Marketing Manager coordinates marketing priorities, promotional resources, campaign timelines, and organizational communications while ensuring marketing efforts align with Cincinnati Public Radio’s mission, strategic goals, and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Develop comprehensive marketing plans for programming, podcasts, live broadcasts, events, fundraising campaigns, organizational initiatives, and special projects.
- Establish campaign objectives, target audiences, messaging strategies, promotional tactics, timelines, and measures of success.
- Create integrated marketing campaigns utilizing broadcast, websites, mobile applications, email marketing, social media, digital advertising, podcasts, streaming platforms, and community outreach.
- Maintain annual and campaign-specific marketing calendars.
- Identify opportunities to expand awareness, increase engagement, and strengthen Cincinnati Public Radio’s visibility throughout the community.
Integrated Campaign Management
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of organization-wide marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate marketing workflows from concept through completion using project management tools.
- Facilitate campaign planning with internal stakeholders to ensure initiatives are aligned, prioritized, and executed on schedule.
- Manage campaign timelines, approvals, deliverables, and production schedules.
- Identify competing priorities and proactively resolve scheduling or promotional conflicts.
Promotion Coordination
- Coordinate promotional inventory across broadcast, websites, mobile applications, email newsletters, podcasts, social media, paid advertising, and community marketing opportunities.
- Balance promotional priorities among programming, fundraising, digital initiatives, underwriting, events, and organizational campaigns.
- Ensure marketing resources are allocated effectively while maximizing organizational visibility.
- Maintain organization-wide awareness of upcoming promotional initiatives and marketing campaigns.
Digital Marketing
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across websites, mobile applications, email marketing, social media, streaming services, podcasts, and paid digital advertising.
- Coordinate homepage features, landing pages, app promotions, and digital marketing placements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure digital marketing initiatives support organizational priorities and campaign objectives.
- Recommend innovative digital marketing tactics that improve campaign performance and audience engagement.
Brand Management & Communications
- Serve as a steward of Cincinnati Public Radio’s brand by ensuring consistency in messaging, voice, tone, and visual identity across all marketing channels.
- Write and edit marketing materials, including on-air promos, live host reads, website copy, newsletters, press releases, promotional campaigns, event materials, and organizational communications.
- Develop messaging that supports programming, podcasts, fundraising campaigns, events, and community initiatives.
- Create creative briefs and collaborate with designers, photographers, videographers, and content creators to develop effective marketing assets.
- Review marketing materials for quality, consistency, accuracy, and adherence to organizational brand standards.
Community Marketing & Partnerships
- Support marketing efforts for community events, educational programs, public forums, and outreach initiatives.
- Coordinate promotional partnerships with community organizations, arts and cultural institutions, educational partners, sponsors, and media organizations.
- Identify opportunities that increase Cincinnati Public Radio’s visibility, community engagement, and organizational impact.
Marketing Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate the effectiveness of integrated marketing campaigns across broadcast, digital platforms, websites, mobile applications, email marketing, podcasts, paid media, and community outreach.
- Coordinate campaign recaps by incorporating performance information provided by internal teams, including social media, digital platforms, fundraising, and other marketing channels.
- Prepare post-campaign summaries highlighting campaign objectives, execution, outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for future initiatives.
- Share marketing insights that support continuous improvement in campaign planning, coordination, and execution.
- Recommend improvements to campaign strategy, messaging, timing, workflow, and promotional effectiveness.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay informed about emerging marketing tools, technologies, and industry trends.
- Recommend innovative approaches that improve marketing effectiveness and audience engagement.
- Explore new marketing channels and promotional opportunities that support Cincinnati Public Radio’s mission and strategic priorities.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Serve as a collaborative leader by fostering strong working relationships across departments and helping align marketing efforts with organizational priorities.
- Facilitate cross-functional planning meetings to coordinate marketing campaigns, promotional opportunities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Build consensus among stakeholders while balancing competing priorities and ensuring projects move forward efficiently.
- Provide marketing guidance and support to internal teams by identifying opportunities to strengthen messaging, campaign execution, and audience engagement.
- Encourage a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across marketing initiatives.
- Represent the Marketing function as a trusted partner, helping connect teams, share information, and coordinate organization-wide marketing efforts.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, public media, nonprofit marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills across print, broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and coordinating complex marketing initiatives.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, content management systems, and marketing best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience in public media, journalism, nonprofit organizations, arts organizations, or other mission-driven institutions.
- Experience with CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, WordPress, Google Analytics, project management software (such as Asana), or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with membership marketing, fundraising campaigns, audience engagement strategies, and public media operations.

The Integrated Marketing Manager will:
