The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own and extend an internal engineering system that governs cloud environments spanning several providers. This is an individual contributor position on a flat team, combining software development, automation and architecture work with regular direct contact with customers.

What you'll do

- Write software that automates the setup, upkeep and staged updating of cloud environments for a large number of accounts.

- Shape a provider-neutral architecture that stays cost-efficient as usage grows from small teams to large organizations.

- Develop dependable automation for running container orchestration clusters across different cloud platforms.

- Talk with customers through chat and calls to learn about their technical needs and convert them into product improvements.

- Maintain a high standard of code quality and operational stability across the platform.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- Currently writing production application code as a software engineer, rather than working solely in an operations or site reliability function.

- Background building or contributing to core systems at a cloud or infrastructure platform company, or at a company known for a very selective engineering bar.

- Experience building infrastructure at an early-stage technology startup.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent technical field.

- Proficiency in Go.

- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider, ideally more than one.

- Base salary: USD 220,000 to 320,000 per year
