About the role
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain our network, systems, wireless, security, and data centre infrastructure. This hands-on role combines network engineering and systems administration, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of business-critical services. You will be responsible for supporting enterprise network and server environments, delivering infrastructure projects, maintaining data centre operations, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our technology platforms.
Key responsibilities
Manage, configure and support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewall, VPN, and security infrastructure.
Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco, Fortinet, Ruckus, and UniFi environments.
Support and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.
Manage and support virtualisation including VMware, Hyper-V related technologies.
Perform data centre activities including rack and stack, cabling, patching, equipment installation, and hardware deployments.
Monitor, maintain, and optimise infrastructure performance and availability.
Deliver infrastructure projects, upgrades, and technology refreshes.
Maintain technical documentation and support change management processes.
Participate in an on-call roster and provide incident response support.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in Infrastructure, Network and Systems Engineering roles.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing & Switching, Wi-Fi and network security.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, and Fortinet technologies.
Experience supporting enterprise Windows and Linux environments.
Experience working in data centre environments.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
Experience in ISP, telecommunications, or managed services environments.
Automation or scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.
Strong experience in enterprise Wi-Fi and large-scale WLAN deployments.
Qualifications
Degree in Information Technology, Networking, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet FCP/FCSS, Microsoft, VMware, or equivalent certifications.
