The Information Security Engineer will work with individuals from a variety of technical and functional disciplines to apply security engineering expertise and innovation to design, develop, and implement solutions and technologies to address cyber security challenges and opportunities, which includes threat-based engineering, new architecture, tools, and techniques for the reverse engineering of systems. The Information Security Engineer will conduct proof of concept prototyping, product evaluations, development, and testing. This includes performing research and development of unique, cutting edge technical capabilities for understanding, assessing, and analyzing cyber technologies.

Responsibilities also include but are not limited to:
Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, standards, and strategic security initiatives
Administer and optimize the CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM platform to ensure reliable security monitoring and visibility
Create and maintain log parsing, field extraction, normalization, and data mapping configurations for new and existing log sources.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Falcon Log Collector deployments and log ingestion pipelines.
Analyze, correlate, and respond to security events and alerts across SIEM, endpoint, Identity, network, and cloud security platforms.
Develop and maintain CIS hardening standards across the enterprise environment
Continuously improve detection coverage through alignment with threat intelligence and the MITRE ATT&CK framework
Additional Responsibilities Include:
Design and implement AI-enriched detection and investigation workflows that combine security telemetry, threat intelligence and contextual data to improve detection fidelity, accelerate triage, and enhance incident response effectiveness
Document SIEM configurations, detection logic, parser development standards, and operational procedures
Investigate security incidents
Develop dashboards, reports, and alerts to improve operational visibility and security outcomes
Support threat hunting, incident response, and SOC operations through log analysis and detection engineering
Lead incident response, including steps to minimize the impact and then conducting a technical and forensic investigation into how the breach happened and the extent of the damage
