Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer specializing in process improvement to join their facility in East London . This role is vital for analyzing current operational procedures, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing strategic solutions to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall quality. You will work directly with manufacturing and operations teams to drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of process optimization methodologies, and a proven ability to lead and implement changes that create lasting operational improvements within the dynamic industrial landscape of the Eastern Cape .
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analysis of existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead and execute process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Develop and implement standardized work procedures, process documentation, and best practices.
- Conduct time and motion studies, capacity planning, and workflow analysis to optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes, ensuring successful adoption and integration.
- Monitor the performance of implemented improvements, track key metrics, and report findings to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong focus on process improvement.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools.
- Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and project management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
