Siemens Energy Venice site is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Engineer to drive productivity improvements and advance technology development across key processes from winding to final assembly.
You will evaluate automation concepts, prepare CapEx investments, and support cross-site standardization while collaborating with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Industrial Engineering to deliver robust, cost-efficient solutions that add measurable business value.
Define and enhance manufacturing technologies for key processes, ensuring efficiency and quality. Evaluate technology concepts to improve productivity and process robustness while promoting cross-site standardization. Drive technology transfer and share best practices between the Venice site and the wider Cluster MPT network. Identify equipment and automation needs, translating them into technical specifications for the CapEx portfolio. Support RFI/RFQ activities and collaborate closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Industrial Engineering stakeholders to select the best suppliers. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 3-4 years of professional experience in manufacturing technology, production engineering, or equipment engineering, preferably in transformer manufacturing or heavy industry. Proficiency in both Italian and English; German language skills are a plus. Drive innovation and business value by quickly understanding complex technologies, evaluating investment opportunities through economic and financial analysis, and applying sound project management practices to deliver results. Collaborate and lead change as an open-minded team player with strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to challenge the status quo to identify and implement new, more effective ways of working.
