We're not just hiring for skill — we're hiring for mindset. If you're positive, resilient, and fearless when facing challenges, Joe wants to build something great with you.
ABOUT Floor Coverings International:
Floor Coverings International of Ventura County is a locally operated flooring company dedicated to transforming homes and lives through inspired design and exceptional craftsmanship. We bring the mobile showroom directly to our customers, creating a convenient, personalized, and high-touch experience from start to finish.
You'll drive our mobile showroom and walk into every appointment backed by a name the community already trusts. We provide a steady stream of leads to get you started, but our top earners don't stop there — they build their own network on top of it, connecting with builders, designers, realtors, and past clients to keep referrals flowing. Self-generated leads earn you an additional commission percentage, so the more you grow your own network, the more it pays off.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Conduct in-home design and sales consultations
- Build trust with customers and guide them through flooring selections
- Recommend solutions that balance style, function, and budget
- Close sales by clearly presenting value and options
- Manage proposals, follow-ups, and project details
- Partner with the team to ensure a seamless installation experience
- Generate referrals and build long-term customer relationships
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
- 45%+ close rate on appointments
- Consistent 5-star customer reviews
- Strong referral and repeat business pipeline
- Profitable projects and happy customers
WHO YOU ARE:
- 2+ years of in-home or outside sales experience preferred
- Flooring or construction knowledge is a plus
- Strong communicator who can build trust quickly
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Comfortable working independently and using technology
- Valid driver's license
Most importantly, you:
- Are fearless in the face of the unknown
- Bring a positive attitude every day — even when things are tough
- Stay calm, confident, and solutions-focused under pressure
- Are resilient and don't get discouraged by challenges
- Take ownership and follow through no matter what
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Base pay + uncapped commission (6-figure potential)
- Additional commission percentage on self-generated leads and referrals
- Company van (mobile showroom provided)
- Paid training to set you up for success
- Paid time off
- Flexible schedule (evenings and weekends required)
