As a Human Resources Coordinator, you’re not just supporting daily operations of the hotel’s HR function – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- First Impressions: Act as one of the first point of contact between hotel team members, managers and the Human Resources Team
- Support daily HR operations: Perform multiple key HR functions such as onboarding, training, benefits, compliance, safety, and performance management, ensuring compliance with corporate HR policies and federal/local regulations.
- Onboarding: This individual will be responsible for overseeing the onboarding process, providing support throughout all stages—from completing new hire paperwork to processing hires in TMX. Additionally, they will coordinate, conduct, and facilitate monthly new hire orientation sessions to ensure a smooth and successful onboarding experience.
- Foster team member engagement: Supporting employee relations initiatives, including recognition programs, special events, and engagement activities that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Coordinate hotel-wide recognition and engagement programs, ensuring the successful execution of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual celebrations.
- Maintain employment data in HR systems: Maintain and manage employment data within HR systems, including tracking employment status changes, generating reports, and processing unemployment claims. Support the administration and monitoring of annual DABC, Food Handler, and MVR compliance requirements, ensuring all team members maintain current and up-to-date certifications.
- Employee Engagement: Assisting with the creation and implementation of employee engagement events
- Ensure HR compliance: Adhere to all employment regulations, fair hiring practices, and company policies
