HSE Manager

HSE Manager

At Ranpak, safety is more than compliance. It is part of the way we work every day.

As HSE Manager, you will be the driving force behind Health, Safety & Environmental excellence at our Dutch manufacturing facility. You will take ownership of our HSE management systems, ensure compliance with legal and corporate requirements, and help embed a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.

This role combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. One day you may be leading a site risk assessment or coordinating an ISO14001 audit, while the next you are coaching managers, delivering toolbox talks, or working with external authorities to maintain permits and certifications.

You will report directly to the Senior Manufacturing Manager and work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, HR and external stakeholders.

• Monitor HSE performance through KPIs, audits and continuous improvement projects.
• Organize and facilitate toolbox meetings, safety training and awareness programs.
• Coordinate internal HSE audits and support external audits where required.
• Maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with environmental permits, fire safety requirements and other statutory obligations.
• Prepare the annual HSE report in accordance with Dutch legal requirements.
• Act as the appointed Prevention Officer.
• Lead the company's Emergency Response Organization (BHV), ensuring preparedness through training, emergency planning and evacuation exercises.
• Manage First Aid facilities and emergency response resources.
• Oversee the HSE budget and ensure effective cost control.
• Serve as backup for the Facility Manager when required.
