HR Officer / Office Manager (Employee Relations/ Labour Law Compliance/ Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Administration) – South Africa

Reference Number: DSS04 - AT Job Description: Our client is seeking an HR Officer / Office Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all human resources and office administration functions within the company. This role ensures compliance with South African labour legislation, supports recruitment and employee relations, manages HR administration, and ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the office. Responsibilities: Managed recruitment, onboarding, employee inductions, and HR administration processes. Maintained employee records, HR documentation, leave, attendance, and payroll inputs. Supported performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary procedures. Ensured compliance with South African labor legislation and company policies. Coordinated training, skills development, and employee learning initiatives. Oversaw daily office operations, administration, facilities, and service providers. Managed travel arrangements, meetings, filing systems, and operational support. Assisted with OHS administration, compliance records, audits, and regulatory reporting. Requirements: Qualification and Skill • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. • 3–5 years' experience in an HR and administration role. • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, mining, or industrial environments advantageous. • Strong knowledge of South African labor legislation. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook). • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
