About the Role:
KE Andrews is a growing property tax valuation firm specializing in the energy industry and commercial real estate, based in Rockwall, Texas, 10 miles east of Dallas. We have an immediate opening for an HR Generalist to join our team-first culture and support the HR Department. This role owns campus recruiting, entry-level hiring, and new hire onboarding — ideal for someone who is personable, organized, detail-oriented, and thrives on building relationships and creating a great first impression for new talent.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting & Campus Recruiting:
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with HR and departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings
- Build and maintain relationships with target universities, career centers, and student organizations
- Represent the company at approximately 6 career fairs per year, including travel as needed
- Develop and execute a campus recruiting calendar aligned with hiring needs
- Screen resumes, conduct phone/video interviews, and coordinate on-campus/virtual interview days
Onboarding:
- Own the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, from offer acceptance through first 90 days
- Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a consistent, welcoming first-day/first-week experience
- Continuously improve onboarding materials and processes based on new hire feedback
General HR Administration & Employee Relations:
- Assists HR with routine administrative tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to: benefits, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management.
- Facilitates and handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to HR Director
- Assist in planning and implementing company events, set up, tear down, and coordinating vendors
- Helps maintain HR records in compliance and routinely audits BambooHR, employee records, and licensing deadlines
Compliance & Professional Knowledge:
- Maintains knowledge of trends, regulatory changes, new technologies in human resources, talent management
- Maintains, in conjunction with HR, compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in recruiting, HR generalist work, or a related field; campus recruiting experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable with seasonal travel to career fairs and campus events (approx. 6x/year)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, especially with students, university staff, and hiring managers
- Experience with BambooHR preferred
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and events simultaneously
