About the Role
We are delighted to be opening a new nursing home and are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team as we prepare for this exciting new opening.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in establishing and supporting the people function within a brand-new care environment. You will work closely with our nursing home management team, employees, and our dedicated HR team based at our support offices in Athlone, ensuring a high-quality HR service from the outset.
You will support a broad range of HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, HR operations, compliance, and the implementation of HR policies and processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day HR operations in line with Irish employment legislation and best practice
- Work closely with managers and employees to provide practical HR advice and support
- Support recruitment and selection, onboarding, and the maintenance of accurate HR documentation
- Provide support with employee relations matters and HR processes
- Assist with the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance
- Support HR projects and initiatives led by the wider HR team
- Work collaboratively with the nursing home management team and our Athlone-based support office
About You
- Degree or relevant qualification in HR, Business, or a related discipline
- Strong experience in a generalist HR and recruitment role
- Good knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Professional, approachable, and discreet
- A genuine people-focused approach with the ability to build strong working relationships
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a wider, supportive HR team
