Location: Bridgwater

Dates: 2nd-13th November 2026

Time: 09:00 – 16:00, Monday to Friday

Duration: 2 weeks (FREE programme)

Opportunity

Would you like to start a new career at Hinkley Point C and earn £35,000+ per year as a General Labourer? This programme provides the essential training to prepare you for site work and help you take the first step into the Engineering Construction Industry.

On successful completion of an HPC recognised ‘pre-employment’ training programme (HSO Bronze), the members of the MEH Joint Venture (part of the MEH Alliance) will offer you an interview when a role becomes available for a potential General Labourer role at HPC.

Eligibility

To apply, you must:

• Have the right to work in the UK – you will be asked to provide proof of this
• Be aged 18+
• Live within 90 minutes of Jct 23 or Jct 24 (M5) – HPC Park & Ride – you will be asked to provide proof of this
• Be new to the Engineering Construction Industry

Please note: General Labourers are required across a number of contractors on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project, although the majority of opportunities are with the MEH Alliance.

General Labourers employed by the MEH Alliance work a 10-days-on, 4-days-off shift pattern. Each working period starts on a Tuesday and finishes on the following Thursday.

Weekday shifts are 06:30 to 17:15, while Saturday and Sunday shifts finish earlier at 15:30.
