Notre Dame Prep Upper School is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lincoln-Douglas Debate Coach to lead and mentor high school students in competitive debate. The coach will help students develop skills in argumentation, research, critical thinking, public speaking, and persuasive communication while fostering confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship.

- Plan and lead regular practices, drills, and tournament preparation.
- Teach Lincoln-Douglas debate formats, strategies, research methods, and case development.
- Mentor students in researching topics, constructing arguments, and delivering effective speeches.
- Prepare students for and attend local, regional, and national tournaments as needed.
- Foster a positive, challenging, and inclusive team environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
Ideal candidate: Prior experience competing in or coaching Lincoln-Douglas Debate, strong communication and organizational skills, and a genuine interest in working with high school students. Prior coaching experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
