At Didion, we’re not just moving grain, we’re moving the future of food. We’re looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator who’s ready to take charge in a fast-paced, hands-on role that keeps our operations running smoothly and safely.

What You’ll Be Driving (Literally & Figuratively):

• Locomotives, yard trucks, and other heavy machinery that keep our logistics flowing.
• Railcars and trailers — moved with precision and care.
• High-quality food products — loaded and shipped with accuracy and pride.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Operate and inspect equipment.
• Support truck and rail loadouts to meet delivery timelines.
• Perform conductor/grounds duties in the rail yard.
• Keep equipment clean, maintained, and ready to roll.
• Use tech tools to track schedules and maintenance.
• Stay sharp on food safety and workplace safety standards.

What You Bring to the Table:

• High school diploma or GED (bonus points for technical training).
• Experience with locomotives or yard trucks? Even better.
• Manufacturing or food-safe environment experience preferred.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.
• Team spirit, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

Physical & Environmental Expectations:

• You’re comfortable with noise, dust, heat, and cold.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and climb stairs/ladders.
• Can work at heights over 20 feet and in confined spaces.
• Communicate clearly via 2-way radio and follow safety protocols.

Why Didion?

• Be part of a purpose-driven team that values integrity, safety, and innovation.
• Operate state-of-the-art equipment in a supportive environment.
• Grow your skills through hands-on training and career development.
• Help us deliver excellence — from the ground up.
