Head of IT and Innovation

Salary: $9,000 – $12,000 per month

About the role

SingAuto is seeking a dynamic Head of IT & Innovation to lead the development and continuous improvement of IoT-enabled vehicle systems and AI-driven functions. This role will be pivotal in bridging technology with business needs, liaising closely with developers, manufacturers, and customers to tailor solutions that enhance product performance, reliability, and user experience. The successful candidate will combine strong technical depth with product vision, driving innovation in connected vehicle technology, AI integration, and IoT ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute SingAuto's technology roadmap, focusing on IoT, AI, and connected vehicle solutions.

• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance product capabilities and customer experience.

• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and feasibility studies for new innovations.

• Architect, develop, and integrate IoT systems across SingAuto's EV cold-chain platform.

• Oversee end-to-end IoT solutions including devices, sensors, gateways, connectivity, cloud platforms, APIs, and applications.

• Own the end-to-end product roadmap for SingAuto's connected vehicle and IoT platform, from vehicle-side hardware to cloud applications.

• Define product requirements, use cases, user journeys, and acceptance criteria based on customer and operational needs.

• Define and manage system interfaces across sensors, controllers, TCUs, vehicle CAN networks, cloud platforms, APIs, and third-party systems.

• Drive continuous improvement of AI features in SingAuto's vehicles, focusing on predictive analytics, automation, and smart mobility.

• Establish cybersecurity, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 8–10+ years of experience in software development, system architecture, IoT, or product development.

• Strong hands-on technical expertise in source code review, system integration, and troubleshooting.

• Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, Solution Architect, or similar role for IoT, connected vehicle, telematics, or complex hardware-software products.

• Strong experience in API design, system interfaces, data architecture, CAN/vehicle data integration, and third-party system integration.

• Knowledge of AI, cloud environments, APIs, and data flows.

• Strong leadership, project management, and vendor management skills.

• Proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is required to effectively communicate with relevant stakeholders, including developers and manufacturers.

• Due to the Company's current work pass quota constraints, this position is currently open to Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents only.
