Head of Information Security

Salary: £75,000 - 125,000 per year

Requirements:

• Significant information or cybersecurity experience grounded in hands-on technical work
• Strong experience securing enterprise network and infrastructure environments
• Good knowledge of cloud security, ideally Microsoft 365 and Azure
• Strong understanding of identity, authentication, privileged access and access control
• Experience applying NIST CSF, CIS Controls or ISO 27001 as practical tools, with a record of improving security standards and policies
• Desirable: Google Enterprise knowledge, a recognised security certification, experience in an international or multi-site organisation, or experience in publishing, media or another IP-rich sector

Responsibilities:

• Set information security direction, standards and priorities for an international business
• Define effective security practices and shape proportionate, practical controls
• Constructively challenge network, infrastructure and cloud configurations with engineers and suppliers
• Provide expertise and oversight across vulnerability management, security monitoring and incident response
• Explain security risks and their business impact clearly to executives
• Drive improvements through to implementation with teams that do not report directly to you

We are recruiting for a new, senior Head of Information Security role in London, with hybrid working of two days onsite and three days working from home each week. The role reports to the Global Head of Technology and offers the opportunity to influence security at an international organisation. It is a hands-on individual-contributor position, not a role managing a security team. The salary is up to £125,000 depending on skills and experience, with benefits and a discretionary bonus of up to 6% depending on company performance.
