Validates automotive-grade PCB designs through board-level testing, prototype hardware characterization, and automated test routines using lab equipment and Python/LabView automation. Supports board bring-up, root-cause analysis, and documents results for internal teams and OEM customers.
You will validate automotive-grade PCB designs through board-level testing and prototype hardware characterization. You will use lab equipment to measure board performance, automate test routines, analyze and document results, and support board bring-up and root-cause analysis. You will interpret OEM test protocols, maintain lab setups, and improve reusable test infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Execute and improve validation test plans for custom automotive PCBs
- Characterize board performance using lab equipment
- Automate lab equipment and test routines using Python or similar scripting languages
- Analyze and document results for internal teams and external customers
- Collaborate on board bring-up and root-cause analysis
- Interpret and follow OEM test protocols
- Maintain lab setups and improve test efficiency with reusable infrastructure
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- 2–6 years of hands-on experience in board-level testing and validation
- Experience using lab test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power meters
- Familiarity with thermal, structural, and electrical stress testing
- Experience with test automation using Python, LabView, or similar tools
- Familiarity with vehicle or consumer electronics validation flows
- Documentation and communication skills
- Exposure to automotive, agriculture, construction, or defense OEM or Tier 1 supplier test protocols
- Ability to read schematics and debug at component level
