HVDC valves are used to convert AC to DC, and vice versa, and are essential for HVDC power transmissions. SVC valves are used in SVC systems to support and stabilize AC systems.

We are also responsible for designing digital optical instrument transducers, state-of-the-art current measuring instruments specifically developed for HVDC applications. These instruments play a critical role in monitoring and protecting HVDC systems while ensuring reliable and efficient power transmission.

The Electrical Valve Design department in Sweden consists of 60 employees, including managers, and collaborates closely with engineering teams in India and China. Beyond project deliveries and tenders, the department is involved in product development, lifecycle management, upgrades, service projects, and technical support.

We are now looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer with a strong background in electronics, optics, optoelectronics, and fiber optic systems. In this role, you will contribute to the development, qualification, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced electronic and optical solutions used in HVDC applications. You will join an international team where innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement are part of everyday work.

This position is based in Ludvika, Sweden. Does this sound like your next challenge? We look forward to receiving your application.
