Design analog, digital, mixed-signal, RF and power electronic circuits for Mynaric's products — creating schematics and BOMs, simulating circuits, and testing and debugging prototype hardware with lab instruments. Requires an EE degree, hands-on hardware design experience, and schematic/PCB tool proficiency (Altium/KiCad).
Join us as Hardware Development Engineer (m/f/d) and work with us on changing the future!
Design of analog, digital, mixed-signal, RF and power electronic circuits for our products.
Development of system architectures and hardware specifications.
Creation of schematics, BOMs and manufacturing documentation, including selection and qualification of electronic components.
Circuit simulation and signal integrity analysis. Support of PCB layout reviews, including high-speed design considerations.
Development of test plans and execution of hardware verification and validation testing.
Bring-up and qualification testing of prototype hardware, bench work to debug prototype and production hardware using laboratory instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers).
Support of Non-Conformance Dispositions and root cause analysis in production. Investigation and resolution of nonconformances and field failures.
Close collaboration with firmware, software, mechanical, supply chain, manufacturing and quality teams.
Support of design reviews, risk assessments and technical documentation.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or similar.
Experience in designing electronic hardware products.
Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools (preferably Altium or KiCad).
Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power supplies (especially isolated and non-isolated DC/DC converters), signal integrity and EMC/EMI principles.
Knowledge of microprocessors, FPGAs and communication interfaces.
Experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers and network analyzers.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
A structured, collaborative way of working with colleagues from different disciplines.
Fluent written and spoken English communication skills, German is a plus.
A plus for us would be experience with high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet, PCIe, DDR or LVDS.
A plus for us would be experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, medical or telecommunications, including standards such as ECSS, MIL-STD-461G or IPC.
