More specifically you will have:
A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Business, Law or a related discipline
Significant senior People and Culture leadership experience in a complex, multi-site or service-based organisation
Demonstrated leadership of HR business partnering and complex employee and industrial relations matters
Demonstrated experience leading or overseeing talent acquisition, workforce attraction and recruitment services
Experience developing employee experience, engagement, retention or workforce improvement initiatives.
Experience supporting or leading volunteer workforce strategies is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, modern awards and enterprise agreements
Highly developed judgement, influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication, including executive-level advice and reporting
About the role
As General Manager, Employee and Volunteer Experience, you will lead the group-wide employee and volunteer experience portfolio across St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria (SVDP), VincentCare Victoria (VCV) and VincentCare Community Housing (VCCH). Bringing together HR Business Partnerships and employee relations, Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement, and Talent Acquisition, you will provide an integrated, responsive and values-aligned workforce experience.
A key focus is to strengthen employee and volunteer engagement, build leader capability, improve the consistency and quality of people support, and elevate volunteering as a strategic capability central to the Society's mission and future sustainability.

Key responsibilities
Lead the Employee and Volunteer Experience portfolio in alignment with the People Strategy, organisational strategy, mission and values
Provides leadership and oversight to the Lead - HR Business Partnerships and portfolio-aligned HR Business Partners
Provide senior oversight of complex employee relations and industrial relations matters, including interpretation of awards and enterprise agreements, disputes, investigations and Fair Work matters
Provide strategic leadership for volunteer attraction, recruitment, onboarding, engagement and retention across the group
Elevates the volunteer workforce as a core organisational capability and ensures volunteer experience is embedded within the broader People Strategy.
Provide strategic leadership for employee talent acquisition and workforce attraction, strengthening employer brand, candidate experience and talent pipelines, particularly for critical and hard-to-fill roles. Leads the Lead, Talent Acquisition and recruitment team to deliver timely, equitable and high-quality recruitment outcomes
Partner with executives and senior leaders to understand workforce demand, capability needs, organisational risks and future workforce priorities
Lead, coach and develop portfolio leaders and teams, building a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing culture focused on service excellence and continuous improvement
