What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Provision and manage GCP infrastructure — including GCP Projects, Cloud Storage Buckets, BigQuery Datasets, and BigQuery Tables — using Terraform as Infrastructure as Code, covering Transfer Jobs, permissions, secrets, labels, and modules
• Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines orchestrated with Argo Workflows, defining workflow logic in YAML within a GCP environment
• Develop, version, test, and document ETL transformations using dbt (Data Build Tool) with SQL, applying dbt's built-in automated testing and integrated documentation features
• Write Python to support data engineering workflows, from pipeline logic to data processing tasks within the established stack
• Containerize and deploy data workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring consistent and scalable execution of data engineering components
• Manage source code and collaborate on data engineering projects using Git and GitLab, following version control practices through commits and merge requests
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to automate testing and deployment of data engineering artifacts across environments
• Fluency in English (C1 Level)

Important:

This position is following a remote regime, based in Portugal. Candidates should be based in Portugal and have a Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit to be considered. EU based candidates can be consideres if willing to relocate to Portugal.
