Contract (6 months, extensions likely) senior Data Engineer role, hybrid in Melbourne (Sydney also acceptable), working hands-on with GCP and dbt in a complex cloud data environment. Collibra, Tableau and ASIC/APRA regulatory reporting exposure are nice-to-haves.

A senior Data Engineer is required for a complex environment where strong cloud engineering fundamentals matter. This one will suit someone who is genuinely hands‑on with GCP and dbt , and who is comfortable working through ambiguity to get to a clean, supportable outcome.
Must have
- Strong hands‑on GCP experience (non‑negotiable)
- Strong hands‑on dbt experience (non‑negotiable)
Nice to have
- Collibra (data governance / catalogue)
- Tableau (reporting environment exposure, especially regulatory reporting)
- ASIC / APRA regulatory environment experience
- 6 months initial, with a strong chance of 1–2 extensions
- Hybrid: 5 days per fortnight onsite
