Outline of role
We are looking for a skilled Statutory Compliance Engineer to manage gas safety compliance and related building services contracts. You will ensure our operations meet all legal, corporate, and safety standards while promoting a proactive compliance culture. The role includes overseeing internal and contractor performance, managing compliance systems, and ensuring accurate data reporting. You'll also play a key part in enhancing processes, coordinating service delivery, and supporting operational excellence.
Main responsibilities
Lead and manage gas compliance activities, ensuring adherence to all statutory, regulatory, and organisational requirements.
Act as the Responsible Person for gas safety and provide specialist technical guidance across the business.
Manage gas compliance contracts and contractor performance, ensuring service standards, budgets, and KPIs are achieved.
Verify that contractors and internal teams hold the correct competencies, qualifications, and accreditations for the work being undertaken.
Carry out regular compliance audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Monitor, review, and maintain accurate compliance records, certifications, servicing schedules, and remedial works data.
Produce compliance reports and ensure all relevant systems are updated and maintained accurately.
