About the role
This is a Game QA Tester role focused on end-to-end testing of mobile, casual, and various gaming products across different development stages. You will play through game builds thoroughly to identify and document bugs, visual anomalies, functional issues, and user experience bottlenecks, evaluating games from a regular player's perspective while providing constructive feedback on controls, gameplay comprehension, difficulty scaling, onboarding, and monetization experience.
Key responsibilities
End-to-End Testing: Conduct daily functional and operational testing for mobile, casual, and various other gaming products across different development stages.
Build Playthroughs: Play through game builds thoroughly to identify and document bugs, visual anomalies, functional issues, and user experience bottlenecks.
Issue Reproduction & Reporting: Reproduce discovered issues and compile comprehensive bug reports complete with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, screen recordings, and other diagnostic data.
Full-System Coverage: Test core gameplay mechanics, UI/UX interfaces, functional workflows, numerical balance, ad integrations, payment gateways, and version updates.
Player-Perspective Evaluation: Evaluate game builds from a regular player's perspective; provide constructive feedback on controls, gameplay comprehension, difficulty scaling, onboarding/tutorials, and monetization experience.
Bug Tracking & Regression: Track bug fix statuses and perform thorough regression testing on resolved builds.
Release Acceptance: Collaborate closely with development and product teams to complete pre-release acceptance testing and quality assurance checks.
Compatibility Testing: Execute compatibility and performance testing across diverse mobile devices, operating systems (iOS/Android), and network environments as required.
About you
Gaming Passion: A genuine passion for gaming, with extensive experience playing mobile or casual games.
Sharp Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, strong patience, and a keen eye for subtle anomalies or unexpected system behaviors.
Clear Communication: Ability to articulate technical issues clearly and accurately document bug triggers and step-by-step reproduction flows.
Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills and a highly collaborative team mindset.
Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with basic productivity and collaboration platforms such as Excel, Google Sheets, Lark, or equivalent tools.
Language Skills: Professional communication proficiency in Chinese (to collaborate with Chinese teams/systems), with basic working proficiency in English (reading and writing).
Relevant Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in game testing, software QA, game operations, or game development is highly advantageous.
Technical Familiarity (Preferred): Familiarity with Unity-based games, Android/iOS deployment pipelines, or standard bug-tracking software (e.g., Jira, Redmine) is preferred.
