Hybrid role in Sydney, three days a week in the office.

A leading financial services client is building a brand new MDM system. It will unify data across multiple asset classes and set the foundation for future AI-driven initiatives.

What you'll do

Design, build and scale backend services and APIs in Python
Work alongside dedicated UI developers on React dashboards, maintenance interfaces and visualisation tools
Model complex ownership hierarchies in graph databases (Neo4j or similar)
Integrate AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda) and BigQuery on GCP
Collaborate with local and international teammates in an agile environment

What you'll bring

Financial services background (essential), with a solid grasp of capital market terms (equities, derivatives, asset management) and master data concepts
Strong commercial Python backend experience
Working knowledge of React for frontend support
Graph database experience, ideally Neo4j (highly desirable)
Familiarity with AWS and cloud data warehousing
Clear communicator who's happy in the office 3 days a week

Why it's worth a look
