Versana is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer to contribute to our Application Development team's technical implementation of Versana's real-time syndicated loan platform, including its blockchain and digital-asset infrastructure. The platform delivers a streamlined interface that provides clients with secure, real-time access to loan data, analytics, and positions.
As a Software Engineer, you'll work closely with engineers, product and project managers, and UX designers to own and deliver features end to end. You must have a strong technical foundation in full-stack engineering, including hands-on experience integrating blockchain and Web3 technologies into enterprise systems, along with a passion for scalable and secure design.
You will play a hands-on role in one of Versana's product verticals, owning the design and delivery of performant, secure, and intuitive applications, including blockchain-integrated capabilities, that set a new standard for the syndicated loan market.

- Contribute to architectural discussions and code reviews
- Adhere to coding standards, architectural principles, and security best practices
- Collaborate with Product and UX teams to translate client needs into high-impact solutions
- Build test automation across the full stack of our software and follow engineering best practices
- Optimize application performance and reliability in a cloud environment
- Implement blockchain integrations, node connectivity, transaction submission, event monitoring, wallet/custody interactions, and signing/approval workflows, using enterprise-grade backend and Web3 libraries
- Write, test, and deploy smart contracts (Solidity or equivalent) following established security practices, handle full transaction lifecycle, submission, confirmation, idempotency, and failure/reversal handling, with audit-friendly logging
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with Product Managers and Technical Project Managers to understand scope, timelines, and priorities.
- Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders clearly and proactively.

- Hands-on experience building on blockchain/DLT platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Hyperledger Besu, or Canton/Daml), including transaction lifecycle (gas, nonce, confirmations, finality) and event processing
- Experience with frontend frameworks (React/Angular) using TypeScript/JavaScript
- Strong understanding of application architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization
- Proficiency with REST APIs, and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)
- Hands-on experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Curiosity and willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment
