About the role
Innoware develops the software that manages inventory and orchestrates robotic systems using AI and machine learning (ML) optimisation in some of the world's most advanced automated distribution centres. We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Implementation & Support team. In this role, you will develop software in Go, PostgreSQL and Vue.js that runs in live production automation environments, taking your work from initial development through to onsite commissioning.
Key responsibilities
Design, build and deploy backend services (Go, PostgreSQL) and user interfaces (Vue.js) that power real-time warehouse orchestration
Develop and integrate AI-driven orchestration and ML optimisation capabilities to improve warehouse throughput and efficiency
Build and improve API integrations between our platform and automation technologies, including AMRs/AGVs, 4-way shuttles, robotics, PLCs and IoT devices
Travel across ANZ, Asia and MENA to support commissioning, go-live and post-go-live activities
Provide escalated technical support for production issues, diagnosing root causes and delivering software fixes, including onsite where required
About you
A minimum of five years' experience in software development, including substantial full-stack experience
Advanced proficiency in Go, Typescript and PostgreSQL
Solid knowledge of distributed systems, microservices and event-based architectures
Proficiency in Vue.js (or a similar JavaScript framework) and REST API design
Strong working knowledge of AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, ECS); equivalent experience with Azure or GCP will also be considered
Strong Linux systems knowledge and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs)
Experience with version control (Git), containerisation (Podman/Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
Proven ability to produce clear technical documentation, including process flows, network topology and interface diagrams, and API specifications (e.g. OpenAPI)
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside mechatronics and controls engineers onsite
Valid passport and willingness to travel regionally for onsite testing, commissioning and go-live support (typically 1–3 week site rotations)
Benefits
Competitive salary, plus travel allowances, accommodation and per diems for all site rotations
The opportunity to work with leading warehouse automation technology and robotics across ANZ, Asia and MENA
Flexible hybrid working between deployments
Funded training and certifications, with a clear career pathway to Senior Engineer and beyond
