The audio revolution is here – and iHeart is leading it! iHeartMedia, the number one audio company in America, reaches 90% of Americans every month -- a monthly audience that’s twice the size of any other audio company – almost three times the size of the largest TV network – and almost 4 times the size of the largest ad-supported music streaming service. In fact, we have:

• More #1 rated markets than the next two largest radio companies combined;

• We’re the largest podcast publisher, with more monthly downloads than the second- and third-largest podcast publishers combined. Podcasting, the fastest-growing new media, today has more monthly users than streaming music services or Netflix;

• iHeart is the home of many of the country’s most popular and trusted on-air personalities and podcast influencers, who build important connections with hundreds of communities across America;

• We create and produce some of the most popular and well-known branded live music events in America, including the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the iHeartRadio Music Awards, the iHeartCountry Festival, iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina and the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour;

• iHeartRadio is the #1 streaming radio digital service in America;

• Our social media footprint is 7 times larger than the next largest audio service; and

• We have the only complete audio ad technology stack in the industry for all forms of audio, from on demand to broadcast radio, digital streaming radio and podcasting, which bring data, targeting and attribution to all forms of audio at an unparalleled scale. As a result, we’re able to combine our strong leadership position in audience reach, usage and ad tech with powerful tools and insights for our sales organizations to help them build success for their clients at a more efficient cost than any other option.

Because we reach almost every community in America, we’re committed to providing a range of programming that reflects the diversity of the many communities we serve – and our company reflects that same kind of diversity. Our company values stress collaboration, curiosity, welcoming dissent, accepting mistakes in the pursuit of new ideas, and respect for everyone.

Only one company in America has the #1 position in everything audio: iHeartMedia!

If you’re excited about this role but don’t feel your experience aligns perfectly with the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. At iHeartMedia we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace and are looking for teammates passionate about what we do!

What We Need:

We're looking for a talented full stack developer to help build the next generation of programming, playout, and content delivery systems for radio, streaming, and other digital platforms.

This is a high-visibility role with real room for growth. You'll work closely with our tech lead and Manager of Software Engineering to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain web applications and the APIs behind them — systems that run in the cloud, on the edge, and everywhere in between.

We're looking for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment: someone who can multi-task, take ownership of problems, and deliver against deadlines without losing sight of quality.

What You'll Do:

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and ship high-quality software components using object-oriented and component-based patterns, with an emphasis on reuse, test-driven development, and automation
• Build new features and enhancements for existing products, from intermediate to highly complex in scope
• Write, test, and deploy React front ends and Node.js/TypeScript back ends, along with the serverless infrastructure that supports them
• Work with our Architects to translate business and customer requirements into detailed technical designs and component specifications
• Deliver software with minimal defects; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues quickly
• Estimate level of effort and contribute to planning for new features and system changes
• Identify technical risks early and work with the team on mitigation plans
• Maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines to keep releases smooth, fast, and reliable
• Support and troubleshoot code running on edge devices deployed in the field
• Use monitoring, alerting, and dashboards to keep an eye on system health and catch issues before they become problems

What You'll Need:

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in front end, back end, or full stack web development, with solid grounding in Agile principles and QA methodologies
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience building UIs with React
• Comfort with Python, particularly for data science or AI/ML workloads, is a plus
• Experience with AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, SQS, Docker, etc.)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation, ideally with AWS CodePipeline and CDK
• Familiarity with CloudWatch (or similar) for monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding
• Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational databases (Postgres or MySQL)
• Experience with event-driven message based integrations
• Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills across a variety of hardware and software environments
• Experience profiling and tuning applications for CPU/memory efficiency
• A track record of writing maintainable, extensible, future-proof code
• Experience with end-to-end and user acceptance testing in an Agile context
• Experience handling audio/media files and streams is a strong plus
• Experience with code running on edge or field-deployed devices is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to go deep on technical detail with peers and simplify complex concepts for others
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team

What You'll Bring:

• Respect for others and a strong belief that others should do this in return
• Experience with various technical disciplines and applications
• Close attention to detail, following up until issues are resolved
• Ability to multitask on a variety of critical projects
• Ability to work independently, while also collaborating with others
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate moderately complex technical information within the team
• Skills to recognize and solve frequently occurring problems
• Analytical thinking
• Resourcefulness and independent judgement

Compensation:

Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.
