Hands-on full stack engineer at Taylor & Francis (Informa) building cloud-based platforms for academic publishing, contributing to an AI-first software delivery transformation. Day to day: writing production code (JavaScript/Java), CI/CD, IaC with Terraform, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, and automated testing. Hybrid role based in Bengaluru with at least 3 days/week in office.
Informa is a leading academic publishing, business intelligence, knowledge and events business, creating unique content and connectivity for customers all over the world. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a member of the FTSE 100.
Taylor & Francis is one of the world’s largest publishers of high-quality, peer reviewed scholarly journals, books, e-books and reference works. We empower learners, thinkers and doers with trusted knowledge that advances research and enriches lives. We bring together diverse people, ideas and opinions to validate and publish the experts, theories and truths that matter. And we’ve been doing this in an unbroken arc since 1798.
Our purpose is to foster human progress through knowledge. We strongly believe that this requires us to encourage and examine different ideas and voices, so that any work that meets our exacting levels of quality deserves to be included in our publications. This requires open minds, the opportunity for robust debate, and the courage to defend perspectives that stand up to scrutiny, even if they conflict with our personal beliefs or values. Because that’s the only way to find the best obtainable version of the truth and, ultimately, foster human progress. If you agree, then we’d love to hear from you.
The Full Stack Engineer is a highly skilled individual contributor who builds high-quality software while contributing to technical direction within the team. As part of our AI‑First Software Delivery (AIFSD) transformation, you will also contribute to evolving how software is built by leveraging AI to improve development speed, quality, and efficiency.
This role reports to the Engineering Manager or Tech Lead and plays a key part in delivering modern, cloud‑based platforms that support our vision of a leading knowledge marketplace. This is an exciting time to join our established business as it undergoes a major transformation, driven by technology at the forefront of academic publishing.
Based in our Technology hub in Bangalore, we are looking for a dynamic, results‑oriented Senior Full Stack Engineer who can make timely, pragmatic technical decisions, balancing immediate delivery needs with long‑term maintainability, and ensuring steady progress without unnecessary complexity.
3+ years of professional software development experience.
