Full Stack Engineer at HHA Exchange – Washington DC-Baltimore Area | Jobyssey

HHAeXchange is the leading technology platform for home and community-based care. Founded in 2008, HHAeXchange was born out of an idea to create an end-to-end homecare solution to help people who are aging or have disabilities thrive in their homes and communities. Our employees are passionate about transforming the healthcare space by building the only homecare ecosystem that fully connects patients, caregivers, home care provider agencies, and payers.

We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer who’s eager to grow fast, think big, and build products that make a difference, improving the experience of thousands of caregivers and families. You’ll work across the full stack — from intuitive frontends to scalable backend services — diving into technologies like Go, Angular, PostgreSQL, Redis, SQS, Kubernetes, and GenAI tooling.

This role is a launchpad for thoughtful, driven builders who thrive on solving complex challenges alongside a talented team of experienced engineers. If you're early in your career and driven to excel, this is your chance to ship code that changes lives, grow under inspiring mentors, and contribute to healthcare innovation. You must value a ‘startup-like’ culture on a small but mighty team that unlocks rapid iteration cycles through a quick but thoughtful decision-making process.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Essential Job Duties

Build the Foundation for Scalability: Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of APIs and microservices that enable robust functionality and seamless integrations.
Excel in Full Stack Development: Gain hands-on expertise in frontend with Angular and backend with Go, while optimizing cloud infrastructure for efficient scaling.
Integrate Gen AI Innovations: Incorporate generative AI into our agency management software, boosting usability and efficiency to create intuitive experiences that users love.
Push the Envelope: Encourage exploration of new technologies, tools, and approaches to continually enhance our platform for better user outcomes.
Guide Strategic Decisions: Evaluate priorities, options, and tradeoffs to inform key development choices that advance our goals.
Collaborate with a Passionate Team of Peers: Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, align on objectives, and deliver features that exceed expectations.
Ensure Lasting Quality: Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to uphold high standards of software reliability.

Love a challenge and want to learn fast by doing important work.
