Company Description
Livia is a Milan-based proptech startup rebuilding condominium administration from the ground up through modern software and AI automation. By combining high-touch human service with a proprietary platform, Livia streamlines building management, eliminates manual paperwork, and ensures transparent communication for residents and administrators across Italy.
Job Description
As the first dedicated engineering hire at Livia, you will architect the foundations of a platform transforming property management. Working closely with the founders, you will build end-to-end features using Next.js and TypeScript, integrating AI to automate complex workflows like document reconciliation and resident communications, directly impacting how thousands of people experience their homes.
Location
Milan, Italy
Why this role is remarkable
- Join as the first dedicated engineering hire, working directly with the founders to design the technical architecture and engineering culture from the ground up.
- Build software with an immediate real-world feedback loop, collaborating daily with the administrators and residents who use your tools just meters away from the office.
- Gain significant ownership through equity in a company modernizing a massive, traditional industry that is ripe for disruption through AI-driven automation.
What You Will Do
- Develop and ship end-to-end features for both the internal administrative platform and the resident-facing portal using Next.js and TypeScript.
- Implement AI-driven automation for repetitive industry tasks, including document processing, deadline management, and complex financial reconciliation.
- Design and maintain the core data layer that manages building systems, historical records, and the financial history of managed properties.
The ideal candidate
- Possesses solid full-stack experience with TypeScript and React, with a strong preference for engineers who prioritize solving domain problems over specific frameworks.
- Demonstrates complete end-to-end autonomy, capable of designing, writing, shipping, and monitoring production-grade code that handles sensitive financial data and real homes.
- Communicates effectively in a fast-paced environment; while English is used, proficiency in Italian is highly beneficial for navigating specific legal and administrative domain concepts.
