• Simplify system architecture and enhance scalability across the payments platform.
• Establish and maintain reliability metrics, SLOs and incident management best practice.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to ensure technical strategies support business goals.
• Champion secure coding practices and ensure compliance across services.
• Lead the adoption of approved GenAI tools and best practice (e.g. GitHub Copilot).
• Mentor engineers, encourage knowledge sharing, and help shape the wider engineering culture.

Main Skills Needed:

• Expert knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React (Hooks, Redux), HTML5 and CSS/SASS.
• Strong experience designing backend services in Kotlin or Java with REST and OpenAPI.
• Proven experience in system design at scale, simplifying complex architectures.

• Strong background in testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright or Cypress.
• Collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and continuous improvement.
• Experience working with micro frontends or Nx, and partnering closely with design teams.

What’s in It for You:

• Work in a modern, agile engineering environment free from legacy systems.
• Real influence on technical direction, architecture and standards.
• Supportive, collaborative culture built around ownership and transparency.
• Opportunity to mentor, innovate and shape how a growing engineering function operates.
