Manos Overview
Manos Software Group is part of Valsoft Corporation, a long-term investor in vertical market software businesses. Manos focuses on healthcare-adjacent verticals, including dental, medical, and veterinary software.
If you're technically strong, care about shipping quality software, and want your work to visibly move the product forward, we'd love to meet you.
The Opportunity
As a Software Developer, you'll design, build, and ship features across our platforms. You'll work closely with product owners, QA, and support to take well-scoped requirements from design through to production, and you'll have real input into how those requirements get shaped in the first place. We're rebuilding our engineering practices as we scale post-acquisition, so you'll help set the standard for code quality, review, and release process — not just follow one that's already fixed in stone.
What Success Looks Like
During your first year, you'll:
- Ship a meaningful body of production code across platforms.
- Build a track record of reliable, well-tested releases with minimal regressions.
- Partner effectively with product owners, QA, and support across the full SDLC.
- Debug and resolve production issues efficiently, with clear root-cause analysis.
- Contribute ideas that improve our engineering practices as we scale.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, test, and ship features across the platforms.
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate actively in code review.
- Debug and resolve production issues, partnering with support and QA as needed.
- Work closely with product owners to clarify requirements and flag technical tradeoffs early.
- Follow and help improve our SDLC practices (branching, review, release, QA).
- Participate in technical design discussions and architecture decisions for your area.
Why This Role Matters
Every feature our operators rely on — bookings, payments, waivers, reporting — is only as good as the engineering behind it. As we rebuild our product organization post-acquisition, the developers who join now will shape not just what gets built, but how reliably and how well it's built for years to come.
You'll Thrive Here If...
- You want ownership over how you solve a problem, not just a ticket to close.
- Accountability motivates you.
- You appreciate direct feedback because it helps you improve.
- You like experimenting, learning, and helping build better ways of working.
- You care as much about your teammates' success as your own.
- You want to help build something, not simply inherit it
Our Hiring Process
We believe hiring should be thoughtful, transparent, and fast. Our process typically includes:
- Introductory conversation
- Hiring manager interview
- Technical assessment / pairing exercise
- Leadership conversations
- Final decision
Join Us
We're building more than a codebase. We're building the engineering foundation that will define the next chapter of Clubspeed and Resova. If you're looking for a place where you'll be trusted with real ownership over your work, and rewarded for the outcomes you drive, we'd love to hear from you.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
We're far more interested in judgment, ownership, and coachability than checking every box.
You'll likely be successful if you have:
- 3+ years of professional software development experience, ideally in SaaS or a high-growth product company.
- Comfort working across the full SDLC — from requirements through code review to release and support.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, and the discipline to write tests that hold up in production.
- Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders when clarifying requirements.
- A bias toward shipping: you'd rather get a well-scoped version live and iterate than wait for perfect.
- A commitment to iterative development: you build for today with tomorrow in mind, favoring designs and architecture decisions that stay easy to change as requirements evolve.
- The ability to pivot quickly as market needs shift, implementing sound design decisions in both code and SDLC process.
Technical Requirements
We run on two distinct architectures, so the specific stack depends on which product area you join. You'll likely draw on some combination of:
- Languages & frameworks: C# and VB.NET (.NET Framework, ASP.NET Core / Web API), PHP/Laravel, TypeScript/Node.js (Express, Next.js), and Angular.
- Databases: SQL Server and MySQL.
- Cloud & infrastructure: AWS (ECS, SQS, S3, CloudFront, SSM Parameter Store), Docker and GitHub Actions CI/CD, alongside Windows Server/IIS for our on-prem systems.
- Payments: experience integrating with payment gateway APIs (e.g., Stripe, Adyen) is a strong plus, given how central integrated payments are to our platform.
- Deep expertise in any one of these isn't required — comfort moving between modern cloud-native services and established on-prem/monolithic systems matters more than prior experience with our exact stack.
Benefits
- Competitive salary (between $110,000-$130,000 CAD)
- Comprehensive health coverage, including dental and vision
- Flexible time off policy
