Senior full stack developer owning end-to-end web, mobile, and backend systems for ToYm's digital products, notably BiteShorts — building frontend/backend features, APIs, and databases, plus deployment, monitoring, and production support. No fixed tech stack; software engineering fundamentals and production experience matter most.
At Thousands of Years Media Sdn. Bhd. (ToYm), we are looking for a proven Senior Full Stack Developer who can take ownership of building, improving and maintaining our web, mobile and backend systems.
You will work across BiteShorts and other current or upcoming ToYm digital products.
Your mission is not simply to write code.
Your mission is to help ToYm:
reliable digital products that support our growing businesses.
For BiteShorts, this means strengthening technology that may support:
We want to continue strengthening ToYm’s in-house technology capability.
This is not a role where you only work on one layer of a system.
We need someone who understands how a complete product works — from frontend and backend logic to APIs, databases, infrastructure, deployment, monitoring and production support.
Technology at ToYm supports businesses across:
You may work across mobile applications, web applications, internal systems, consumer platforms, e-commerce, content platforms, APIs, integrations, AI services and new digital products.
You will work across the complete product cycle:
We want someone who can build, troubleshoot and deliver, not someone who only understands one part of development.
When something fails, we want to understand:
You will work closely with:
You should be able to take a requirement through:
Your responsibility is the outcome, not simply completing the code.
We do not select people only based on years of experience, academic qualifications or how well they speak during interviews.
We assess candidates through:
There is no strict degree requirement and no fixed minimum number of years.
However, you must demonstrate evidence of real production development.
You should have personally contributed significantly to at least one production system involving several of these areas:
Where available, show:
Most importantly, you must be able to explain:
Production systems are more valuable to us than tutorial projects, certificates or unfinished prototypes.
You should demonstrate practical knowledge across areas such as:
We do not require one fixed technology stack.
What matters is whether you understand software engineering fundamentals and can adapt to the technologies required by the product.
You should be able to:
We particularly value:
Ownership — Take responsibility for outcomes.
Problem Solving — Identify symptoms, root causes, options, trade-offs and solutions.
Effective Execution — Move from idea to working production system.
Product Thinking — Understand users, business objectives, cost, speed, technical constraints and scalability.
Learning Agility — Learn new frameworks, platforms, APIs and AI tools when required.
Responsibility — Communicate risks early and follow through.
Prioritisation — Separate critical issues from nice-to-have improvements.
Communication — Explain technical matters clearly.
Working Under Ambiguity — Clarify objectives and propose solutions without waiting for every detail.
We want to understand:
One key platform you may work on is BiteShorts.
BiteShorts is being developed beyond a short-form entertainment application into an ecosystem that may include content, users, creators, membership, rewards, Bite Shop, merchant missions, commerce, payments, advertising, analytics, AI and third‑party integrations.
As usage grows, we need engineers who ask not only:
“Does the feature work?”
but also:
“Will it remain reliable when usage increases?”
Shortlisted candidates may be asked to:
We are not looking for one perfect answer.
We want to understand how you think, what you can actually do and what you have genuinely owned.

You want to take ownership of production systems, not simply complete assigned tickets.
You can move from requirement to architecture, development, deployment and continuous improvement.
You care about what happens after launch.
And you want to strengthen the technology behind BiteShorts and ToYm’s growing digital businesses.
