Soulside AI is transforming how behavioral health organizations operate, unlocking massive efficiency gains through AI. Our platform cuts documentation time by 80%—turning 3+ hours of daily paperwork into 30 minutes—so these organizations can focus resources on patient care, growth, and innovation. The impact is immediate: better outcomes, reduced costs, and the ability to serve more patients without adding administrative overhead.
We're scaling fast and building the infrastructure that will power mental healthcare for decades. This is your chance to join an early-stage team and play a critical role in shaping a platform that every behavioral health organization will depend on. You'll build technology that directly improves millions of lives while capturing an enormous market opportunity. The timing is perfect, the problem is real, and the upside is massive.
Why this role matters:
Precision at Scale: In behavioral health, accuracy isn't optional. You will own the technical logic and high-fidelity data structures that ensure our platform remains reliable as we scale from ten clinics to ten thousand.
Foundation for Growth: As an early hire, you aren't just fixing bugs; you are building the internal systems and workflows that will define how Soulside scales. Your ability to solve complex mapping puzzles and maintain platform stability is what allows our core team to innovate at speed.
Direct Impact on Care: Every optimization you make and every technical challenge you solve directly reduces administrative burnout for clinicians, meaning more patients get the high-quality mental health care they need.

We are seeking a Frontend Engineer to join our early team to help build and scale a platform that thousands of clinicians will rely on. You will be responsible for developing high-performance user interfaces, maintaining the core product, and ensuring our systems are perfectly configured for a diverse range of clinical environments.
This role is ideal for an engineer who is not only a skilled UI developer but also possesses an analytical mind for complex data structures and a meticulous approach to technical implementation.
Feature Development: Build and maintain responsive, high-fidelity web applications using React and TypeScript.
Complex Data Implementation: Design and implement the technical logic and schemas that power our core platform. You will translate multifaceted domain requirements into structured, scalable technical configurations.
Platform Reliability: Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve frontend bugs and support issues to ensure a seamless experience for our users.
Account Optimization: Take ownership of the technical setup for new accounts, ensuring that the platform's logic and data structures align perfectly with user-specific requirements.
Internal Tooling: Help develop internal workflows and tools that allow us to scale our platform's capabilities across different clinical settings.
Performance & Monitoring: Work with the engineering team to monitor platform health and implement frontend optimizations to improve speed and reliability.
Detail-Obsessed: You have an eagle eye for precision. You notice the small inconsistencies that others miss, whether in UI alignment or data structures.
Logical Thinker: You enjoy the challenge of taking non-standardized information and creating a clean, logical strategy to standardize it within a system.
Problem Solver: You are resourceful and can find smart technical workarounds when faced with complex or non-standard requirements.
Ownership Mindset: You are happy to roll up your sleeves to handle both high-level feature work and the critical "last-mile" technical details that make a product successful.
2-3 years of software engineering experience focusing on modern frontend frameworks (React preferred).
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
Experience managing complex application state and data flows.
Familiarity with modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind, etc.) and responsive design.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote startup environment.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members.
LLM Proficiency: Hands-on experience with prompt engineering to refine and validate structured AI outputs.
Large-Scale Systems: Experience contributing to and navigating large, distributed frontend architectures.
Performance Optimization: Proven ability to improve speed and efficiency in data-intensive applications.
Scaling Expertise: Familiarity with scaling frontend operations, including automated testing and modular component design.
Internal Tooling: A track record of building admin dashboards or automation scripts to simplify manual engineering tasks.
