This role requires a rare blend of editorial creativity, technical fluency, and efficient project management.

What You'll Do

Edit full videos end-to-end for a variety of formats including YouTube and various social platforms
Craft high-quality edits for longform news interviews, short-form vertical video series with premium motion graphics, and brand specific sizzle reels
Apply advanced editing techniques: audio leveling, color correction, transitions, and GFX integration using Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Photoshop
Collaborate with producers to shape narratives that align with Complex’s editorial tone and cultural voice
Manage a diverse array of footage across different formats, frame rates, resolutions, and codecs
Maintain organized project structures, strictly adhering to established naming conventions, media workflows, and archiving protocols
Optimize exports for platform-specific technical specs, while maintaining the creative and editorial integrity of each piece
