Join a customer-facing engineering team building AI software for enterprise organizations. You will work directly with customers to understand complex operational challenges, then design and ship practical software solutions that make a measurable difference.
Visit customer sites in the UK and internationally for up to 50% of your time to understand operational problems firsthand.
Design, prototype, and ship production software quickly across customer environments and technology stacks.
Partner with other forward deployed engineers and software engineers during customer engagements and pilots.
Share customer insights and product feedback with the core engineering team to inform product development.
Prepare and deliver software demonstrations and pilots for prospective customers in manufacturing, automotive, retail, and financial services.
One to five years of experience as a customer-facing full-stack software engineer or forward deployed engineer, including at least one year building and shipping production code.
Experience with React, TypeScript, Python, LangChain, and Vercel AI SDK, alongside familiarity with Rust, SQL, REST APIs, cloud infrastructure, enterprise data systems, and AI or LLM tools.
Strong systems design and architecture skills, with the ability to turn customer problems into scalable technical solutions.
A problem-first approach, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to adapt across customer industries and technical environments.
A degree in computer science, engineering, or another STEM field, with strong technical fundamentals.
Startup, founding, or early-stage engineering experience is valuable; experience in forward deployed engineering or similar customer-facing roles is also relevant.
Based in the UK and able to travel nationally and internationally up to 50% of the time.
Authorized to work without visa sponsorship.
Annual salary: £100,000 to £175,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Hybrid role based in London, United Kingdom, with travel to customer sites.
