Your Role
Are you interested in taking on a financial controlling role with international collaboration? As a Financial Controller, you will take end-to-end financial responsibility for a portfolio of medium-complexity customer projects or base service contracts across Products and Licenses, Business Applications, Managed Services, or other service areas.
You will work closely with colleagues in the Americas and provide the financial insight, control, and commercial support needed to manage project performance and inform business decisions.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare financial forecasts and plan-versus-actual analyses to support informed business and project decisions.
- Monitor revenue recognition, cost allocations, work in progress, accruals, margins, and project profitability, identifying potential issues and anomalies.
- Plan and control operational risks and added-value levels while ensuring adherence to project plans.
- Apply financial processes in line with organizational procedures and policies and maintain effective control of financial risks.
- Provide relevant commercial information and analysis to stakeholders responsible for business and strategic decisions.
- Develop and maintain controlling tools for expense monitoring and process purchasing, service, rental, and leasing orders.
- Act as a finance contact for sales and delivery teams and external customers, recommend solutions to complex business issues, and advise on basic Work Breakdown Structures.
Your Skills & Experience
- A minimum of three to five years of Finance experience, including one to two years in a controlling role.
- A university degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Strong accounting knowledge and practical knowledge of IFRS, particularly IAS 17 and IAS 18.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Practical experience with SAP FI, CO or SD, Oracle modules, or another relevant ERP system.
- Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with an excellent command of business English.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach, accuracy when working with figures, and the ability to manage end-to-end responsibilities independently.
Preferred qualification
- CIMA certification is an advantage.
Working Hours
This role works closely with colleagues in the Americas. You will therefore be required to work adjusted hours, ideally from 14:00 to 22:00 CET. Following successful completion of the probation period, earlier working hours may be possible during part of the month.
