Finance Manager

Be the financial leader behind Queensland’s most respected AV solutions business

Pro AV Solutions Queensland is a proudly Queensland‑based, industry‑leading commercial audiovisual systems integrator delivering complex, mission‑critical solutions to government, education, enterprise, defence and resource sectors.

As we enter the next phase of our growth journey, we’re seeking an exceptional Finance leader to take full ownership of the financial function and play a key role in shaping the future of our business.

This is a management position with real influence, visibility, and impact.

• You will be the most senior finance leader in the business, reporting directly to the Managing Director
• You’ll help drive our three‑year growth strategy, supporting a business’s growth plans
• You’ll move beyond just reporting into commercial insight, governance, and strategic decision support
• You’ll work alongside a highly engaged senior leadership team that values clarity, accountability, and professionalism
• You’ll be trusted to own the function end‑to‑end and continuously improve how finance enables the business

If you’re looking for a role where your thinking matters, not just your technical capability, this is for you.

About the role:

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all financial operations, compliance, and strategic financial leadership, including:

• End‑to‑end financial management of the business
• Monthly management reporting, forecasting, and cashflow planning
• Budgeting, financial modelling, and commercial analysis
• Payroll, GST Audits, BAS, and statutory compliance
• Business financial budgeting and reporting, whole of business and departments.

• Supporting the Managing Director and leadership team with clear, practical financial insights each month.
• Improving systems, processes, and financial discipline across the business
• Managing and mentoring the finance team to provide a high-performance outcome.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have strong demonstrated experienced in senior bookkeeper, finance or financial controller roles within SMEs or project‑based businesses.

• Experience with MYOB / Xero, strong Excel skills, and hands‑on Australian payroll and tax compliance knowledge.

• Have an accounting or financial qualification, not necessarily a CPA.

• Hands-on leadership style, staying close to the day-to-day financial operation while maintaining a clear view of business priorities and outcomes.

• Commercially minded, with the ability to translate numbers into clear business insights.

• Strong communication style, with the ability to explain financial information clearly, influence decision-making, and build confidence across the business.

• Comfortable working closely with founders / owners / executive teams.
• Detail-oriented, disciplined and governance-focused, with the commercial judgement to stay practical and focused on outcomes.
• A steady and credible leader who strengthens team cohesion, sets the standard through action, and earns the trust of others through clarity, consistency and accountability.

Our Culture

At Pro AV Solutions Queensland, we value:

• Professionalism and personal accountability
• Clear thinking and clarity of communication
• Customer‑centric decision making
• Leadership through influence, not authority

We’re a mature, well‑established business with strong values, long‑term clients, and a clear growth plan, and we’re serious about building a leadership team that matches our ambition.
