Group Technical Accounting Finance Manager (12 Month FTC)
Luton | Full-time | Hybrid
20% bonus • 7% pension • Staff travel benefits
We support hybrid working, and you’ll spend 60% of your time each month in the office.
You turn complex accounting standards into practical reporting solutions and bring people with you through change.
This is an opportunity to shape how easyJet reports its financial performance as we prepare for IFRS 18 and develop the accounting framework for a new customer loyalty programme under IFRS 15.
The opportunity
Joining Group Finance on a 12-month fixed-term contract, you’ll lead the end-to-end assessment, design and implementation of IFRS 18 across our statutory and management reporting environment.
You’ll also help ensure the accounting, reporting and governance for our new loyalty proposition are clearly understood, robustly documented and operationally ready ahead of its planned launch in 2027
“This role combines deep technical accounting with the chance to deliver visible, practical change. We’re looking for someone who can get into the detail, explain it clearly and build reporting solutions that work for the business long after implementation.” Head of Group Statutory Reporting
The team & culture
You’ll work within Group Finance and collaborate with colleagues across Financial Reporting, FP&A, Treasury, Finance Systems, commercial and technology teams.
It’s a fast-moving, data-rich environment where curiosity, sound judgement and constructive challenge are valued. You’ll have the space to influence senior stakeholders while sharing your knowledge across Finance.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead the IFRS 18 impact assessment, covering primary financial statements, disclosures, management performance measures, alternative performance measures and comparative reporting requirements.
You’ll define future-state presentation and reporting packs, develop technical accounting papers, and work with Finance Systems on the data, ledger, mapping and consolidation changes needed for implementation.
For the loyalty programme, you’ll challenge key estimates, assumptions and judgements, develop a robust IFRS 15 accounting framework and make sure systems and processes support accurate reporting from day one.
You’ll engage external auditors and senior finance leaders, establish clear governance and controls, and deliver practical training and guidance that build readiness across the business.
